Its direction, originality and ingeniuty is to be recognised and commended. As simple as it looks, it is one heck of an achievement in direction. The cast is actually made up of actual Sour fans from all over the world, with each scene filmed purely from their webcams.

So, so clever.

One of my favourite storytellers of all time, Malaysian filmmaker Yasmin Ahmad, has passed away this weekend from a stroke.
I will miss her and the stories she would have brought in time, should there have been more.

And many, many more.

Seeing that Zooey Deschanel’s now engaged to Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie, I told myself that I need to wrongfully want for another woman instead who’s not only got a pretty face but a great voice to go along too. And oh, came Sarah Blasko. Just recently releasing her new album entitled ‘As Day Follows Night’, this was her first single, video directed by Melbourne-based Celeste Potter.

Beautiful illustrations (though Ghost Patrol-ish) and water colours! And of course, there’s Miss Blasko.
What a treat, indeed.

My birthday isn’t exactly around the corner I know, but I do believe in Christmas in July.
Hint, hint. It is SO within a kris kringle budget too.

French designer//photographer Romain Lenancker has some really intriguing works that you can find here. He is great with mixing print and photography, as can been seen here as well.

Our Labor of Love

If you know me, you’d know I’m a sucker for weddings and especially wedding photography. Our Labor of Love is one of my favourite wedding photography blogs out there, and the idea of a couple shooting weddings together for a living is such a dream!

Beautiful colour treatment! Plus, they’ve also got a collaborative work going on with Max Wanger too, that can be found here.

Oh, I love great water colours and illustration; and young Kristina Collantes from the Phillipines has got it down pat for me! Beautiful works that can be found from her portfolio here.

Great work on tilt-shift photography and implementing Wes Anderson-ish touches.
Alex Cornell produced the work above – an imaginery Wes Anderson Film Festival – as part of his design course’s program, even including a trailer which can be found here. Love the photography and words.

Amazing Science Centre in Switzerland designed by Ned Kahn. The layer of the outer building wall is layered with thousands of aluminium panels that move with the wind.

C.S. Lewis Signature Series

Found this at Book Cover Archive Blog. Simple yet beautiful designs. I am a huge sucker for book covers and as good as a book may get, I won’t usually pick one up unless it has a pretty cover. Superficial, I know. But I can’t help it. And I’ve been avoiding C.S. Lewis’ books for a while now simply due to a lack of incentive. This, now, I feel motivated to read.

What Goes Around Comes Around

Big Ant International designed four posters including the above for a campaign against the war in Iraq. Some of the cleverest, thought-provoking designs I’ve seen.

There are a couple more posts too, I’d like to put up. One of an illustration by one of my best friends, and another, the coolest wedding idea I’ve ever seen. But I think I need some permission for those ones first, so I’ll have to put them on hold for now.

Pixelcase is an Australian-based company that creates virtual tours (like this one) worldwide, giving photographers some of the coolest jobs in the world (like this one). In this showcase, it just shows how mindblowing New York really is. An endless seam of metropolitan flowing from a horizon to another; fuelled with life in every alley.
